About the Role

The BIM Coordinator role supports mechanical construction projects by creating, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models. Working closely with project managers, detailers, field teams, and other trades, the coordinator ensures models are accurate, clash‑free, and aligned with project specifications to drive efficient prefabrication and installation. • Develop and manage 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks. • Participate in coordination meetings with general contractors, architects, engineers, and trade contractors. • Perform clash detection and resolve model conflicts using Navisworks Manage. • Keep models accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with project specifications and field conditions. • Export spool sheets and coordinate installation drawings to support layout, prefabrication, and field operations. • Incorporate revisions based on RFIs, change orders, and field mark‑ups. • Collaborate with VDC team to maintain BIM standards and file management protocols. • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, foremen, and detailing teams. • Maintain project documentation, including coordination logs, issue tracking, and deliverables.

What You Bring

The position requires strong technical expertise in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360, as well as a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in a commercial construction context. Candidates must be able to collaborate across disciplines, manage documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of VDC processes and workflows. • Bring 3+ years of BIM/VDC experience in mechanical or MEP commercial construction. • Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, and related visualization tools. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems and trade coordination workflows. • Experience with fabrication detailing, spooling, and field installation requirements. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines. • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, drafting, or related field. • Familiarity with Trimble, robotic total stations, or layout integration technology. • Understanding of construction sequencing, project phasing, and tools such as Bluebeam or Revizto.
