About the Role
The role supports the growth of the building structures practice in the Dallas Metroplex from the Frisco office, providing autonomy to lead, direct, and expand the business. Leadership responsibilities include operating with integrity, providing vision and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining client relationships, maintaining open communication with partners and the team, and growing the structural practice. Project managers are expected to manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, mentor staff, and act as positive leaders. • Develop and maintain relationships with coworkers, industry peers, and clients. • Perform and review structural design calculations and prepare project submittal packages. • Conduct site investigations, structural evaluations, and prepare technical reports. • Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team members. • Identify project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients. • Provide vision, business planning, and strategy. • Establish goals and maintain open communication with partners and the team. • Grow and lead the structural practice. • Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor staff.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least 12 years of diversified structural engineering experience, preferably as a registered Professional Engineer, with a history of technical design on various structures and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and structural analysis software. Strong communication, leadership, client‑relationship skills, and the ability to manage projects profitably and mentor staff are required. • At least 12 years of diversified structural engineering experience. • Desired registration as a Professional Engineer. • Experience with technical design and planning on various structural projects. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and structural analysis/design software. • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills. • Strong client contacts and ability to engage continually with clients. • Ability to communicate positively at all organizational levels. • Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably. • Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
