About the Role

• Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers to produce “for permit” and “for construction” electrical drawings using CAD/BIM tools. • Create and maintain project/design job folders and adhere to InPwr drafting standards and stop‑gate procedures. • Review supplier drawings, integrate them to meet NEC clearance requirements, and develop installation details with field experts. • Set up CAD operations, contribute to SOP development, and maintain plotter and plotting processes. • Produce as‑built drawings from field red‑line markups and obtain approvals before issue. • Assist with BIM implementation and coordination across the project team. • Evaluate and adopt new design software upgrades that improve design and construction efficiency.

What You Bring

The firm is hiring a BIM Modeler to work on‑site in Indianapolis (no remote or hybrid option). The role is positioned at a mid‑level, full‑time capacity within the ADMIN department, reporting to the project team. The position demands an office environment with occasional site visits for model verification, and involves physical tasks such as frequent sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb. InPwr emphasizes a safety‑first culture, providing PPE, COVID‑19 protocols, and a drug‑free, equal‑opportunity workplace. • Detail‑oriented and highly motivated professional with 2–7 years of CAD electrical design or construction experience. • Proficient in AutoCAD (2018 or newer) and comfortable using Revit (2017 or newer); experience with Navisworks, SKM, or similar BIM tools is a plus. • Holds a CAD drafting degree, IEC apprenticeship, or an engineering bachelor’s degree. • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and project‑management software is advantageous. • Strong communication, teamwork, and independent problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to work in an office setting and occasionally visit construction sites for model verification.
