Terminal Janitorial Supervisor

About the Role

Schedule: Thursday to Monday, 9 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. The Janitorial Supervisor at Velociti Services leads a team of cleaners and ensures that all work areas meet company and client cleaning standards. The role requires responsive communication with clients and relaying their specific requests to the cleaning staff. The supervisor oversees cleaning staff, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and ensures compliance with health and safety policies. Responsibilities include coordinating work schedules, managing inventory, and acting as the primary liaison between management and customers to deliver a best‑in‑class cleaning service. • Supervise all cleaning staff, focusing on performance and behavior • Organize and coordinate staff activities efficiently • Deliver best‑in‑class cleaning service to all worksite areas • Review work schedules • Track inventory and order cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment • Monitor all cleaning activities • Ensure staff are aware of Health and Safety policies and procedures • Quickly resolve disputes between staff • Train new employees • Perform general cleaning duties as needed • Communicate with management • Resolve complaints and conflicts • Maintain good relationships with customers • Conduct worksite inspections • Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments • Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times daily

The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 60 lb, bend, squat, stretch, climb stairs repeatedly, and stand for extended periods while performing cleaning duties. • Communicate effectively in speaking, writing, and listening • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and approachability • Team player with positive attitude and ability to boost morale • Previous cleaning experience • Prior experience managing a team • Ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods • Ability to process negative feedback professionally • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Attention to detail • High school diploma or higher preferred • Valid driver’s license and MVR required • Time management skills: organizing, planning, and prioritizing • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing directions • Lift boxes and packages up to 60 pounds
