Job Highlights
About the Role
• Prepare work plans, schedules, and man‑hour budgets for manager approval. • Manage client relationships and support business development initiatives. • Monitor project schedules and capital cost budgets to meet client expectations and control productivity. • Oversee quality control/quality assurance for water and wastewater design projects. • Supervise project work and productivity to achieve profit and schedule targets. • Develop and execute engineering methods for water and wastewater designs. • Coordinate with consultants, agencies, communities, and contractors for planning, design, and permitting. • Prepare calculations, plans, specifications, technical papers, and permit applications for pipelines, pumps, and treatment facilities. • Lead planning, design, and guidance for water supply, transmission, and distribution projects. • Create and review conceptual drawings, construction documents, and specifications. • Conduct studies, designs, and contract documents for wastewater and water supply infrastructure. • Review utility connection applications for municipal and utility clients. • Serve as Client Manager when needed and perform all client management duties.

What You Bring
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities; familiarity with SUE projects a plus. • Bachelor of Science in environmental or civil engineering; PE license required. • 8+ years of civil/environmental engineering experience focused on water/wastewater design. • Experience with NY DOH and DEC permitting processes. • Proficiency in AutoCAD (desired) and strong water/wastewater treatment plant design knowledge. • Excellent communication and client management skills. • Ability to build and lead a team of water/wastewater professionals. • In‑depth knowledge of permitting requirements for collection and treatment projects. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications.
