About the Role

The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for difficult problems, and manages related projects while training and mentoring both service and contract technicians. Core duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and related control components (relay logic, PLCs, sensors, motor starters, etc.), creating and closing work orders with labor and parts data, leading and auditing preventative‑maintenance procedures, and maintaining positive relationships across the operations facility. • Lead and mentor service and contract technicians in automated equipment installation and repair. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Promote and enforce safety procedures across all tasks. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, relay logic, PLCs, sensors, motor starters, and other control components. • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, maintenance activities, and parts usage. • Lead and audit preventative‑maintenance programs. • Maintain positive communication and relationships throughout the operations facility.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years’ experience with material handling equipment and preventative maintenance, four years reading blueprints, three years using a CMMS, two years programming PLCs, and experience leading, training and mentoring technicians, as well as vendor‑management and strong Microsoft Office skills. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, and wearing required PPE while working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures. • 4+ years experience with material handling equipment and preventative maintenance. • 4+ years experience reading blueprints and schematics. • 3+ years experience with CMMS and 2+ years PLC programming. • Vendor management and strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) skills. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical field and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and wear required PPE.
