About the Role
KBR’s National Security Solutions team delivers high‑end engineering and advanced technology to intelligence and national‑security customers, directly supporting the nation’s most critical protection missions. The Mid‑Level Integration Engineer role, based in Chantilly, VA, will enable intelligence‑gathering missions from overhead systems and transform collected data into actionable information for the IC and DoD. The engineer will serve as a Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) and provide Systems Engineering & Integration services, focusing on the integration and operation of complex mission systems and supporting IT infrastructure. They will work with team leads, program managers, and acquisition professionals to validate acquisition strategies that meet customer needs. • Provide Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) and Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) services focused on mission system integration and IT infrastructure. • Validate acquisition strategy with team leads, program managers, and acquisition professionals to ensure feasible outcomes meeting customer needs. • Integrate new systems and initiatives to support customer/mission partner requirements, collaborating directly with developers and operations users. • Assist in preparing presentations and reports. • Utilize mission‑specific and commercial Agile tools such as Confluence, Kanban, and JIRA for software integration activities.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have a technical degree combined with extensive experience in the intelligence community, integration of multiple intelligence architectures, and strong project‑management and briefing skills. They must be familiar with cloud‑based solutions, Agile development (including SAFe), Model‑Based Systems Engineering, and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. • Understand system‑to‑system interfaces and act as the integrator. • Technical degree (BS/BA with 8‑10 years, MS/MA with 5‑8 years, or PhD with 3‑5 years) and intelligence community experience. • Experience integrating architectures of multiple intelligence systems. • Skill in identifying user/enterprise requirements, gap analysis, and creating brief packages for technical requirements, implementation plans, risks, and success criteria. • Strong project management abilities and concise briefing to senior leadership. • Familiarity with cloud‑based product offerings and ability to propose solutions. • Experience with Agile software development processes (e.g., SAFe) and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
