About the Role

Key duties include reading load charts, interpreting hand signals for material placement, performing routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, conducting daily equipment inspections, reporting malfunctions, preparing and leveling surfaces to specifications, and assisting other craft workers as needed. • Read and interpret load charts • Interpret hand signals to determine material placement • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment • Conduct daily equipment inspections, including fluids and wear assessment • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Prepare, fine‑tune, and level surfaces to specifications • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The Dirt and Finish Operator must be certified and capable of operating equipment such as a track hoe, rubber‑tire backhoe, front‑end loader, road grader, bulldozer, hoe ram, and Ross carrier. The role requires learning all safety hazards and safely using tools and machinery in plant operations or construction jobsite environments. Physical requirements involve lifting up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), handling repetitive hand/arm motions, driving various vehicles, climbing ladders and scaffolds, and working in diverse weather and terrain conditions. Mentally, the operator must communicate effectively, comprehend written directions, make decisions, focus amid distractions, and maintain attention to detail.
