About the Role
In this position you will develop and maintain detailed cost plans, produce monthly cost reports and executive summaries, and coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors and vendors for validation. You will lead procurement strategy, negotiate contract prices, manage final accounts and oversee the entire change‑control process. Supporting cost‑risk analysis, contingency management and Earned Value Management, you will integrate cost data with schedule and scope, drive value‑engineering initiatives, monitor market trends and act as the primary client liaison, ensuring compliance with internal delivery methodologies and mentoring junior staff. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding updates for stakeholders. • Coordinate cost data from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Lead procurement strategy, review contractor pricing and negotiate fair contract terms. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement on payments. • Own change‑control process: review, estimate, negotiate and reconcile change orders. • Support cost‑risk analysis, scenario planning and contingency management. • Implement robust cost‑control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost information with schedule and scope, collaborating with project‑controls teams. • Drive value‑engineering initiatives and cost‑optimization strategies. • Monitor market trends (price escalation, labor availability, material pricing) and provide insights. • Serve as primary client interface, delivering service excellence and executive updates. • Ensure adherence to internal Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high‑performance culture. • Track financial performance, margin, and forecast monthly fee/resource forecasts. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to be the primary day‑to‑day client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data‑center programme. The role is responsible for delivering cost‑management services that keep the project on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while emphasizing governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field and have 5–7+ years of cost‑management or project‑control experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centres. A background in construction consultancy, strong knowledge of MEP systems, budgeting, procurement and EVM, as well as RICS accreditation (or progress toward it) are preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving skills, together with proficiency in industry‑standard cost‑management tools, are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field. • 5–7+ years of cost‑management/project‑controls experience in mission‑critical environments. • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of MEP systems and hyperscale data‑center infrastructure. • Proven expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control and Earned Value Management. • Experience in procurement strategy and commercial contract management. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification advantageous. • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail. • Proficiency with industry‑standard cost‑management software.
