About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in designing Hadron’s long-term tax infrastructure—supporting capital-intensive manufacturing development, multi-state and federal compliance, international expansion considerations, and strategic tax planning for commercial deployment of micro modular reactors. The Corporate Tax Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of Hadron Energy’s tax strategy, compliance, planning, and reporting as the company transitions toward becoming a publicly traded entity. This individual will partner closely with the CFO, Controller, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax filings, optimize tax positions, evaluate incentive programs (including energy and manufacturing credits), and support financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules. • Monitor changes in tax law and assess implications for Hadron’s operations and strategic plans • Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, accounting firms, and government agencies • Ensure compliance with tax authorities, maintain documentation, and manage audits or inquiries • Partner with the Controller and external auditors on tax provision calculations, ASC 740 reporting, and quarterly/annual financial disclosures • Participate in entity structuring decisions to optimize tax efficiency across subsidiaries and project companies • Support global tax strategy for potential international operations, licensing, or supply chain expansion • Lead all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including federal, state, and local filings • Research and apply energy, manufacturing, and R&D tax credits, including IRA incentives, DOE programs, and state-level clean energy incentives • Advise internal teams on tax aspects of commercial contracts, joint ventures, PPAs, and strategic partnerships • Develop internal processes, tools, and controls to strengthen Hadron’s tax governance framework • Develop and execute tax strategy and planning to support Hadron’s growth, public-company readiness, and long-term manufacturing initiatives • Evaluate and optimize tax implications of capital investments, reactor deployment structures, project finance SPVs, and equipment manufacturing

What You Bring
This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Tax Director, based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The position is ideal for candidates with deep tax expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and experience operating within complex, multi-jurisdictional, and rapidly scaling organizations. • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate technical tax issues into clear business recommendations • Familiarity with tax considerations for project finance, SPVs, PPAs, and long-term capital assets • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field • Experience with manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries is highly advantageous • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with financial, legal, engineering, and operations teams • Experience supporting public or pre-IPO companies, including ASC 740 and SEC disclosure requirements • Deep understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations • High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced, evolving environment • 10+ years of experience in corporate tax, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry leadership • CPA, JD, or MST strongly preferred
