About the Role
In this role you will lead engineering efforts on roadway projects, support project management, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. • Perform roadway engineering tasks such as geometric design, analyses, and project planning • Prepare design plans, calculations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates • Assist the project manager in executing and delivering assignments • Coordinate with internal teams and external clients or agencies • Lead and supervise junior engineers on project assignments • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field inspections

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Principal Project Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, which has designed and delivered vital projects worldwide for over 80 years. We seek candidates with extensive roadway engineering experience, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership abilities. The ideal applicant holds relevant education and professional credentials, and is proficient with industry software. No security clearance is required for this position. • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field • Minimum 15 years of experience in roadway engineering • California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Experience with Caltrans projects and knowledge of its standards, policies, and manuals • Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and solve complex problems

The salary range for this role is $120,800 to $217,400.
