About the Role

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical/electrical building systems. • Conduct facility walkthroughs, inspections, and system monitoring. • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, HVAC, and related mechanical systems. • Respond promptly to routine and on‑demand service requests. • Document work in the maintenance management system. • Report equipment deficiencies and recommend repairs or improvements. • Support the implementation of the preventative maintenance program. • Assist senior technicians and participate in facility projects. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and fire protection regulations. • Maintain tools and equipment, arranging repairs or replacements. • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships. • Follow established maintenance processes and procedures. • Apply mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. • Maintain a strong safety mindset and work safely at all times. • Communicate effectively for reporting, feedback, and client interaction. • Pursue additional certifications (Facilities Technician, BOMI SMT, BOMI SMA) as assets.

What You Bring

The Apprentice Refrigeration Technician (CCQ) performs preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical building systems for assigned facilities. Working under established procedures and safety standards, the apprentice helps maintain equipment performance, ensure client satisfaction, and support uninterrupted facility operations. • Minimum 1 year facility operations or building maintenance experience. • High school diploma and enrollment in a CCQ refrigeration apprenticeship. • Understand building codes, fire/life safety, and environmental regulations. • Hold CCQ Apprentice Refrigeration Technician certification (mandatory). • Meet enhanced security clearance requirements. • Possess a valid driver’s license.
