About the Role

The Maintenance Technician B works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment, trucks, and related components such as chassis, hydraulic, electrical, air brake, engine, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. The role also includes basic tire work and offers the opportunity to service a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, providing daily challenges and training on new technologies. Key responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on chassis components, refuse bodies, control and hydraulic systems, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC. The technician also conducts line‑maintenance welding and fabrication, provides safe roadside service, diagnoses malfunctions with electronic tools, completes required company training, and performs other assigned duties.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least one year of technician experience with gasoline and diesel equipment or be a recent graduate of an accredited automotive program. They should understand work order labor standards and possess basic knowledge of heavy‑truck systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel emissions. ASE certifications, a commercial driver’s license, and a valid driver’s license are advantageous but not required.
