About the Role

The Engineer will define technical packages and investigations, delivering against programme milestones within agreed cost, timescale and quality. They will apply safety or plant engineering expertise to devise solutions for the safety management system, act as the local point of contact, and provide advisory services to customers and senior staff. Continuous improvement of tools, processes and methods is also a core expectation. • Define and deliver technical safety packages meeting cost, schedule, and quality targets. • Use safety and plant engineering expertise to solve safety management system issues. • Serve as the local safety management contact and provide advisory support to customers and senior staff. • Drive continuous improvement of safety tools, processes, and methods.

What You Bring

Candidates should have experience with Nuclear Safety Cases or as a Category A/B Nuclear Watchkeeper, or equivalent plant‑operator background. Experience in nuclear plant or site safety case writing, stakeholder management at all levels, and knowledge of product integrity, liability and certification frameworks is required. A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Engineering (or equivalent technical capability) is expected. Applicants must obtain a Security Check clearance, which Rolls‑Royce will support, and must be a UK national or a MoD‑approved dual national. The role contributes to Rolls‑Royce’s multi‑year transformation aimed at building a competitive, resilient and growing company.
