About the Role

Under general direction, you will perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC mechanical equipment and building control systems. You will provide Level 1 technical support, mentor branch technicians, and ensure all work complies with state, local, and federal regulations while completing required project and service documentation. Adhering to Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, you will lead safety initiatives and instruct both technicians and subcontractors on site safety practices. Recognized as a leader and coach, you will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and deliver on‑the‑job training to other technicians. Effective communication with customers is essential; you will introduce yourself upon arrival, keep them informed throughout the service, and ensure high satisfaction by recommending system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs. You will manage assigned work to meet professional execution standards, on‑time delivery, and consultant‑level service expectations. You will assist in developing quotes and estimates for identified labor and material work, identify material needs, and schedule personnel with the appropriate skills. Compensation is $58.79 hourly as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, with benefits provided through a local labor union.
