About the Role

The Field Engineer assists the Project Engineer as the technical source of information for the project, responding to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders. They help write change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and review submittals while maintaining professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Assist in developing and maintaining as‑built drawings, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasts. • Support and execute the Project Management Plan and change management processes. • Administer the project quality management plan and promote a safety culture. • Calculate daily production rates, unit costs, and participate in risk management. • Oversee BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers. • Manage documentation and submittals for LEED certification and Digital Record Drawings. • Provide layout lines, grades, and maintain organized log books. • Track weekly quantities, maintain quantity logs, and support budgeting and cost control. • Support superintendents in field execution and resolve on‑site problems. • Assume responsibility for communication and interfacing with project stakeholders. • Perform physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and climbing as needed. • Use telephone, computer, and email to communicate with internal and external parties.

What You Bring

The position has three steps – Step I (entry level), Step II (minimum two years experience or larger projects), and Senior (over four years experience or significantly larger/complex projects) – providing a progression of skill and responsibility. • Hold a four‑year construction‑related degree or equivalent technical/field experience. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
