About the Role

The Federal Contracts Specialist reports to the Federal Market Sector Leader and works closely with Client Service Leaders, Project Managers, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other applicable U.S. Government requirements. • Review, draft, and negotiate federal prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and joint venture agreements with internal stakeholders and Legal. • Identify contractual, financial, and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies. • Maintain complete contract files, including agreements, modifications, and supporting documentation. • Support DCAA and DCMA audits and related compliance reviews. • Prepare and maintain required disclosures and reporting such as SAM, CMRS, eSRS, FSRS, and Certificates of Insurance. • Prequalify subcontractors by evaluating performance, financial stability, reputation, socioeconomic status, and federal compliance; manage a subcontractor database. • Develop subcontractor master service agreements and task order subcontracts for IDIQ contracts. • Assist in creating Statements of Work, terms and conditions, pricing structures, flow‑down clauses, schedules, and change orders. • Review subcontractor invoices and coordinate with Finance to resolve billing or payment issues. • Ensure proper clause flow‑down and compliance with contract specifications, laws, and regulations. • Track and report contract deliverables, milestones, and compliance requirements. • Support solicitation development, proposal reviews, and contract negotiations. • Provide guidance on standard contract templates and contribute to improving templates, playbooks, processes, and guidance materials. • Analyze contract review data and trends using Excel. • Participate in special projects to enhance contracting processes and promote continuous improvement.

GFT is an Equal Opportunity Employer that abides by federal, state, and local fair‑chance ordinances, and requires successful completion of a criminal background check for all advertised positions. • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. • Minimum of five years’ experience in federal contracting. • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency‑specific supplements. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Adobe Acrobat Pro. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across internal and external teams. • Nominal business travel to client sites and GFT offices may be required. • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and/or Vantagepoint (preferred). • Active federal security clearance (preferred). • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification (preferred).
