About the Role

• Read specifications to determine curb location, width, and shape. • Lay string between reference points and spray paint guide marks for the curb machine. • Brush cement‑water mix onto pavement to bond curbing to the work surface. • Select and install the appropriate curb‑forming die using hand tools. • Start the machine, engage clutch, and guide it to extrude curbing along the marks. • Apply curing, hardening, and sealing compounds to the concrete surface. • Assist with site safety and quality programs, ensuring subcontractor compliance. • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and coworkers.

What You Bring

The company is seeking a Concrete Finisher for its Huntsville, AL/North Alabama operations, reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The role requires proven experience in curb and gutter work, the ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation, and may involve weekend work and overtime. The position is full‑time, day shift, with extensive medical, retirement, and other benefits. • Smooth curbing edges with a trowel and cut expansion joints at specified intervals. • Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating teamwork and leadership. • 1.5–3 years experience in curb & gutter installation (operating curb machine is a plus). • Experience forming, pouring, and finishing curb & gutter and storm drain boxes. • Strong focus on safety excellence and ability to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check. • Detail‑oriented, problem‑solving, creative, and self‑motivated. • Able to meet deadlines, stay calm under pressure, and maintain reliable transportation.
