About the Role
The role involves training team members in assembling and installing sub‑assembly components for commercial HVAC products on an assembly line. The employee ensures safe, timely completion of work in accordance with codes and quality standards, and serves as the primary contact for line issues. Key responsibilities include maintaining unit quality and productivity standards, checking proper assembly of components such as evaporator coils, compressors, bases, filter racks, blowers, condensers, and control boards, and verifying correct voltage, brazing, and charging procedures. The employee keeps schedules and assembly procedures current, verifies part availability, prints and reviews work order packets, and approves paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks. End‑of‑line reviews require confirming that all documentation is signed off by Quality Team Leaders. Additional duties involve staying updated on assembly procedures and equipment, enforcing warehouse safety and housekeeping standards, inspecting blueprints and assembly drawings, using hand tools, performing minor repairs and adjustments, and providing backup production support as needed. • Train team members on assembling and installing sub‑assembly components per specifications. • Ensure unit quality and productivity standards on the assembly line. • Verify proper installation of components such as evaporator coils, compressors, bases, filters, blowers, condensers, and control boards. • Maintain up‑to‑date schedules, assembly procedures, and part availability. • Print, review, and approve work order packets and end‑of‑line paperwork. • Conduct blueprint and assembly drawing inspections. • Enforce warehouse safety and housekeeping standards. • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and provide production backup support. • Complete AAON’s Quality Team Leader (QTL) program. • Lead, motivate, and engage employees across multiple teams. • Support problem‑solving for production issues and employee concerns. • Adhere to company policies, maintain satisfactory attendance, and work variable schedules/overtime as needed. • Meet physical demands and assess work accuracy, including color detection.
