About the Role
The Design Technical Specialist I role in the Engineering and Operations Division supports gas operations and facilities required for energy service delivery. Responsibilities include technical office and field duties, design and layout work for construction and repairs, and maintaining technical records and AutoCAD drawings. • Perform technical office and field duties supporting gas distribution operations. • Assist with layout and design engineering for construction, repairs, and site modifications. • Maintain AutoCAD drawings and technical databases, records, and archives. • Conduct field measurements, stake placement, and minor right‑of‑way clearing. • Provide permit assistance, material requests, map plotting, and gas availability information. • Respond to field crew, customer, and external inquiries with technical guidance. • Prepare cost estimates and recommend cost‑effective project solutions. • Ensure compliance with company, federal, and state regulations and codes. • Participate in safety training, equipment maintenance, and audits.
