About the Role
A Relief Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, delivering prompt and courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle meets the company's safety standards. The driver also adheres to all company, state, and federal regulations and completes daily vehicle condition reports. The role involves performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, operating the truck and compactor, and interacting professionally with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to keep routes on schedule. Continuous monitoring of waste, vehicle condition, and productivity helps maintain safety and efficiency, and the driver participates in the ReSOP safety program. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspection and report safety issues. • Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes, read route sheets, and service customers as assigned. • Operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at the designated facility. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures. • Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to safety standards. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition, clean waste from packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. • Complete required route, productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports. • Maintain required productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP program. • Adhere to company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

What You Bring
Candidates should exhibit strong customer service, time‑management, and follow‑through skills, consistently follow company policies, and take pride in their work. Preference is given to individuals with two years of commercial truck driving experience, and a Class B (or higher) CDL with an air‑brake endorsement is required. • Demonstrate good customer service skills, acting professionally, courteously, and cooperatively. • Exhibit good time‑management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely. • Show strong follow‑through ability, adhering to work schedules and handling challenges. • Preferably have two years of prior commercial truck driving experience. • Possess a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
