About the Role

We are recruiting a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to support a full range of hard and soft FM services across our Port and Logistics Park. The site spans over 400 football pitches in size, and the role will manage day‑to‑day operations to maintain buildings to a high and sustainable standard, including reactive maintenance, emergency cover, and resilience to the port and park infrastructure. The coordinator will execute and manage installation, repair and maintenance activities in line with London Gateway facilities management processes, procedures and safety regulations. They will escort external contractors, resolve emergency calls, and ensure method statements and risk assessments are documented and kept up to date. Asset information will be recorded throughout each asset’s life cycle, and the FM non‑M&E building plant asset database will be maintained along with administrative and maintenance records. The role leads projects from planning through quality assurance, manages minor repairs and improvements, and oversees site services staff, contractors and their risk assessments. Compliance with statutory requirements, ordering of equipment and materials, and support to the Facilities Manager in budget control are also essential. The coordinator will champion health, safety, environment and security policies, maintain a visible presence in operational areas, and build collaborative relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders. • Execute and manage installation, repair, and maintenance activities per FM processes and safety regulations. • Escort external contractors on site and ensure compliance with risk assessments. • Respond to emergency calls and provide timely reactive maintenance. • Document and update method statements and risk assessments for all works. • Record asset information throughout its life cycle and maintain the FM non‑M&E building plant database. • Lead projects from planning through quality assurance and evaluation. • Manage minor repairs and improvements such as locks, shelving, plumbing, electrical and carpentry works. • Supervise site services staff, contractors and ensure they are trained and risk assessments are communicated. • Ensure compliance with statutory health and safety requirements and address findings promptly. • Order equipment, furniture and materials following procedures to maintain operational stock levels. • Assist the Facilities Manager with budget control, reporting and FM cost management. • Champion health, safety, environment and security policies and promote a proactive safety culture. • Maintain high visibility in operational areas, building relationships with employees and stakeholders. • Act as a DP World ambassador, exemplifying company principles, values and code of conduct.

What You Bring

We seek candidates with significant facilities management experience, strong equipment maintenance knowledge, excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, and a dynamic, creative approach. Required qualifications include FM certifications from level 2 to 7, NQF L3 or higher, and a full UK driving licence. • Possess significant facilities management experience and strong equipment maintenance knowledge. • Hold FM qualifications from level 2 to 7 and NQF L3 or higher, plus a full UK driving licence. • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
