About the Role
The Construction Manager oversees the construction of homes in assigned communities, ensuring quality control, cost management, and adherence to project schedules from inception through move‑in. This role combines on‑site supervision with coordination of trade partners and internal teams to deliver zero‑defect homes. Key duties include managing job‑site activities, conducting twice‑daily home walks, leading pre‑construction and final walkthrough meetings, and negotiating solutions with inspectors and trade partners to maintain budget and schedule targets. The manager also handles daily communications, invoice approvals, safety compliance, storm‑water inspections, and maintains accurate documentation such as change orders and safety logs. • Oversee construction activities from inception to move‑in, managing job sites, schedules, and trade partners. • Conduct twice‑daily home walks to monitor progress, quality, and schedule compliance. • Lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings. • Negotiate inspector and trade‑partner issues to achieve cost‑effective solutions and support Continuous Improvement Processes. • Manage daily trade‑partner communications, invoice approvals, and provide feedback to Lead Construction Manager. • Ensure site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with state and federal building codes; maintain safety logs and conduct safety meetings. • Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections per regulatory guidelines. • Approve change orders, purchase orders, and maintain accurate documentation. • Collaborate with sales, customer care, and management to resolve issues and ensure effective communication. • Participate in an inclusive culture with programs such as Everyone’s Included Day and the Advisory Council.

What You Bring
Candidates should have 3–5 years of residential construction management experience, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction‑management software is required, along with a valid driver’s license, auto‑insurance coverage, and the ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 lb. • Require 3–5 years residential construction management experience; high school diploma required, college degree preferred. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction‑management software. • Hold a valid driver’s license, auto‑insurance coverage, and able to lift equipment up to 50 lb.
