About the Role

The Senior Product Specialist researches and responds to product inquiries from trade, retail customers, and distribution agencies. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, teamwork, calculated risk‑taking, and a passion for continuous learning to ensure the best customer experience. The specialist also mentors newer employees and contributes to new product development launches, using Delta’s operational systems such as SAP, TeamCenter, and Salesforce. You will provide Tier 2 technical support for Customer Solutions, Contact Centers, and Rep Agencies, communicating via phone, email, and in‑person. The position offers the tools and training needed to expand product knowledge and work cross‑functionally on additional projects as required. • Provide Tier 2 technical support to business partners, handling routine and complex inquiries. • Communicate promptly and professionally via phone, email, and in‑person with customers, Contact Center, agencies, sales, marketing, and engineering. • Research and answer product questions, partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales Managers to resolve issues. • Monitor communication channels to ensure timely follow‑up and prevent repeat contacts. • Identify customer needs through qualifying questions and deliver comprehensive solutions. • Address customer dissatisfaction with care, perseverance, and concern. • Make independent business decisions and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. • Participate in cross‑functional meetings and support new product development launches. • Mentor and train new specialists, providing feedback during onboarding and continuous learning.

What You Bring

Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma (required) and a bachelor’s degree (preferred), along with 5+ years of customer service experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Prior experience with plumbing products and advanced knowledge of Delta’s product lines are essential, as is proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, TeamCenter, and MS Office. • Minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years customer service or equivalent experience. • Prior plumbing product experience and advanced knowledge of Delta product lines required. • Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, TeamCenter, and MS Office.
