About the Role

The Scheduler will provide oversight of all planning and scheduling functions, coordinate and direct the scheduling team, and ensure corporate planning standards are followed. Responsibilities include coaching field personnel, fostering teamwork, supplying resources, conducting performance evaluations, and managing hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions as needed, while also implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program and handling open‑shop and union matters. • Provide oversight of planning and scheduling activities. • Coordinate, supervise, and direct scheduling team and field personnel. • Coach, mentor, and train forepersons and assistant superintendents. • Ensure crews have necessary resources and support; conduct performance evaluations. • Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions. • Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project sites. • Manage open‑shop and union issues.

What You Bring

Mortenson’s Data Center Structured Cabling Team is seeking an experienced Sr. Scheduler to oversee planning and scheduling activities. The role can be based in LA, WI, AZ, TX, or remotely with travel and requires 100% on‑site rotation. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have at least six years of construction experience or an equivalent mix of training and experience. Required knowledge includes scheduling concepts, Primavera P6, standard construction practices, 4D visual planning, cost‑loaded schedules, and claims avoidance, along with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. • Bachelor’s degree in construction‑related engineering or management. • Minimum six years of construction experience or equivalent. • Proficient with Primavera P6 and 4D visual planning methodologies. • Knowledge of construction sequencing, cost‑loaded schedules, and claims avoidance techniques. • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication abilities. • Ability to work cross‑functionally and travel as required; valid driver’s license.
