About the Role

• Cut insulation to specified size using electric bandsaws and abrasive wheels. • Adhere insulation material to proper size and angles using adhesive before cutting. • Load finished insulation pieces in boxes for shipment to the order site. • Retrieve necessary supplies from the warehouse using a forklift. • Read and write order specifications and label the finished product. • Clean the work area after cutting. • Inspect equipment condition before use and perform regular maintenance (e.g., lubricate, change blades). • Follow safety regulations and specifications for material handling and equipment operation. • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare and discern differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings. • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

What You Bring

Journeyman with at least three years of documented field experience is responsible for cutting and adhering insulation and metal shielding to site specifications, performing general cleaning of the fabrication area, and reading and following prints for installation and dismantling tasks. The role requires the ability to work within precise accuracy limits, apply shop mathematics, select appropriate tools, visualize three‑dimensional objects from plans, make decisions based on measurable criteria, and work at heights. A high school diploma or equivalent plus relevant experience is required, and the employee works under immediate supervision following established guidelines. Physical demands include standing (60%), walking (20%), sitting (20%), lifting and carrying up to 50 lb, pushing and pulling 70 ft‑lb, and occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fingering as indicated by frequency symbols. • Utilize basic math skills to follow order specifications. • Communicate verbally or in writing regarding job tasks and procedures.
