About the Role
In this role you will lead software development activities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure integration, quality and regulatory compliance while upholding Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity. • Develop PC‑based desktop applications and products. • Participate in product requirement workshops and translate requirements into software designs. • Design, code, and unit‑test software modules in line with the quality management system. • Create and adapt software module designs, system setups, and integration plans. • Collaborate with product stakeholders, management, business analysts, and the developer community. • Ensure modular, maintainable, and extensible integration of subsystems. • Verify compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering and has 3‑8 years of experience in Windows application development. Strong object‑oriented programming skills, expertise in the Microsoft .NET framework, and familiarity with development tools such as Azure DevOps, Git and Visual Studio are required, with knowledge of power‑systems standards considered a plus. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. • 3–8 years of Windows application development experience. • Strong OOP programming and design skills; expert in C#, .NET, WPF, XML, SQL Server. • Proficiency with design patterns, multithreading, code analysis, debugging and profiling. • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Enterprise Architect, Visual Studio 2019+ and related tools. • Knowledge of Power Systems domain and IEC 61850 standards is a plus.
