About the Role
The Branch Fleet Technician is responsible for maintaining diesel equipment and hydrovac operations through inspections, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and alignments. The role includes correcting vehicle deficiencies, keeping accurate records, and managing work orders in Fleetio to ensure thorough documentation and tracking. This position is essential for ensuring equipment reliability and supporting the organization’s operational success. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair assigned vehicles and equipment; perform oil changes and greasing. • Conduct safety checks on trucks. • Maintain clear communication with the Branch Manager, Regional Fleet Staff, and maintenance department. • Operate and maintain the Hydrovac fleet, troubleshoot breakdowns, manage supplies, and perform preventive maintenance. • Update job knowledge through training, technical publications, and regulatory resources. • Respond to occasional emergency service calls for breakdowns. • Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with Corporate/OSHA standards and follow established procedures. • Perform frequent physical tasks including lifting/moving objects 25‑50 lb, crawling under vehicles, and working in tight spaces. • Provide own standard tools; specialty tools are supplied by the company.

What You Bring
• Hold a high school diploma and be a licensed Heavy Duty Technician. • Possess a valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred. • Be prepared to work more than 40 hours per week as needed. • Apply knowledge of electronic diagnostics. • Experience with Peterbilt and Western Star chassis is a plus. • Experience troubleshooting Hydrovac equipment is a plus. • Understand DOT compliance, laws, and safety regulations. • Proficient with Fleetio, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Benefits
Compensation for this role is based on education and experience, starting at $39.60 per hour.
