About the Role
The role provides support and quality leadership for supplier, process, and customer quality. It manages internal and external customer complaints, tracks them, and initiates corrective actions to resolve issues. Cross‑functional teams are led to address scrap, customer, and production problems, while supporting manufacturing with problem‑solving, process improvements, and manufacturability solutions. The position also guides quality technicians and inspectors in their daily activities. The incumbent maintains ISO 9001 system compliance and leads the EASE (Layered Process Audit) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes. They identify gaps at the plant level and execute improvement activities to close those gaps. All aspects of APQP and part approval are executed, including sign‑off for both suppliers and customers. Revisions of process control documents such as PpFMEAs, control plans, and other quality tools are managed to ensure ongoing compliance. The role works with suppliers to initiate and close corrective actions, ensuring root causes are properly identified and eliminated. Strategic plans based on statistical data are developed to improve departmental quality performance. Supplier PPAP submissions, including control plans, are reviewed and assisted with creation when necessary, ensuring all special characteristics and reaction plans are adequate and approved by customers. What You Bring
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, with a preference for engineering. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of quality experience in the manufacturing industry and legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include ISO 9001 or TS16949 experience, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification, and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) credentials. Strong understanding of lean concepts, problem‑solving methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 5‑Why, fishbone diagrams, control charts), and data analysis tools (Excel, Access, Minitab) is essential. The successful candidate must act as the voice and advocate of the quality management strategy, demonstrate flexibility to work non‑standard hours, weekends, and respond to customer needs as required. Effective oral and written communication, as well as the ability to lead cross‑functional projects and produce technical documents, are critical. • Require bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred) and ≥2 years quality/manufacturing experience. • Must hold ISO 9001/TS16949 experience; Six Sigma Black/Green Belt and CQE/CQA certifications preferred. • Demonstrate lean concepts, PDCA/DMAIC/8D problem‑solving, and data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab). • Flexible to work non‑standard hours, weekends, and respond to customer needs.
