About the Role

The role supports geotechnical projects by assisting staff with field tasks and documenting site observations for construction materials testing and geotechnical work. The associate may perform boring and test pit layouts, prepare drilling packages, obtain utility clearances, research local geologic history, supervise field crews, address rig access, conduct in‑situ testing, classify soils, and keep project staff updated on site conditions or additional testing needs. Work on CMT projects may also be required. • Assist staff with field tasks on geotechnical projects. • Document site observations for construction materials testing and geotechnical work. • Perform boring and test pit layouts and prepare drilling packages. • Obtain utility clearances and research local geologic history. • Supervise drilling/test pit crews and address rig access issues. • Conduct in‑situ testing, classify soils, and report changing site conditions. • Work on construction materials testing (CMT) projects as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or a related field. No prior experience is required, and a professional license is not needed for this position, though it is required for future career advancement. A valid driver’s license is required for any driving duties performed for an ECS subsidiary. • Hold a BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field. • No prior experience required; professional license optional but needed for advancement. • Possess a valid driver’s license for company‑related driving.
