About the Role

The role involves observing and performing routine field tests on assigned projects, maintaining daily communication with other ECS technicians, project managers, and site representatives, and attending project meetings as requested, while also handling incidental office clerical and report production tasks. • Conduct air monitoring for asbestos, lead, mold, and other workplace hazards during abatement, renovation, and demolition. • Perform asbestos, lead‑based paint, and mold/moisture assessments in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state regulations. • Collect field data—including sample locations, environmental conditions, equipment calibration information, and observations—using field forms and electronic data systems. • Properly handle, label, and maintain chain of custody for environmental samples and coordinate laboratory submittals for analysis. • Maintain, calibrate, and properly use field equipment such as air sampling pumps and inspection tools. • Obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications related to industrial hygiene work. • Communicate daily with other ECS technicians, project managers, and site representatives as directed. • Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested. • Develop understanding of relevant calculations, data reduction of test results, drafting, and other administrative duties. • Perform incidental office clerical tasks, report production assistance, and other office‑related duties. • Provide suitable transportation for job sites; mileage reimbursed.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job sites (mileage reimbursed), and be capable of lifting at least 40 pounds repeatedly and walking on uneven terrain; no prior experience is required. • Progressively learn field sampling of various media while working indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. • Learn to calibrate and use field equipment and document readings appropriately. • High school diploma or GED required. • Valid driver’s license required for driving on behalf of any ECS subsidiary. • Limited to no prior knowledge of environmental principles, applications, and testing standards. • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds repeatedly and walk on uneven ground across various terrains. • Ability to complete daily field reports detailing site activities and observations with provided directions and training.
