About the Role

As a Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will service and repair essential equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders at recycling facilities that serve over 20 million customers nationwide. Your work is recognized for its impact on the operation’s efficiency and safety. Daily duties include preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing differentials, hydraulic, motor, transmission, drive, HVAC, and electrical systems, completing paperwork such as work orders and oil samples, and maintaining other equipment like light plants, water pumps, and welders. The work environment involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, standing, walking, and grasping, as well as exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. Work is performed both inside garages and shops and outdoors in inclement conditions. • Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, yard trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company vehicles. • Diagnose and fix differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, HVAC, and electrical systems. • Perform preventative maintenance per site checklist and complete related paperwork (work orders, PM checklists, oil samples). • Service additional equipment including light plants, water pumps, welders, and other ancillary machinery.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least six years of heavy‑equipment maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be over 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to meet the physical demands of the role. Successful applicants must also pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam.
