About the Role
• Assist accountant to meet client contract billing and accounts receivable requirements. • Process vendor invoices and keep accounts payable up‑to‑date for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, submit lien waivers, and verify contracts and insurance. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project‑specific vendor invoice data and prepare multi‑project invoices for central posting. • Perform administrative invoice tasks such as vendor setup, tax reporting, and managing client tax‑exempt certificates. • Compile supporting documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide periodic progress reports to supervisor. • Apply academic knowledge to company finance activities. • Maintain professional relationships with employees and customers. • Participate in conferences and learning opportunities.

What You Bring
The position requires adherence to company policies, professional conduct, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Interns will gain hands‑on experience with billing, monthly close, audit support, data entry, and vendor management while applying academic knowledge to real‑world projects. Physical demands include climbing stairs, ladders, and navigating construction sites, with exposure to noise, weather and other site hazards. Benefits
The internship is with Turner’s Nashville Main division, located in Nashville, TN. It is a regular, non‑exempt finance internship for a student pursuing a degree in accounting, finance or a related field. The role provides financial services support to profit centers, assisting with various accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliation and special services, and reports to the Accounting Manager or senior accountants in Operational Finance.
