About the Role

You will be responsible for the overall quality and effectiveness of ERM Shelton’s market‑facing creative, ensuring it is rooted in research insights and aligned with client objectives. This includes translating client business strategies into compelling solutions, establishing quantifiable goals, and partnering across Account, Research, and Creative teams to track progress. Leadership is a core component of the role: you will mentor and grow high‑performing teams, develop junior talent, and supervise senior leaders responsible for narrative, ESG content, and digital performance. Your work will elevate trust and credibility both internally and externally by delivering carefully reviewed, accurate, and impactful sustainability communications. Key responsibilities include strategic client leadership, business development support, performance metric definition, creative excellence across all media, and people leadership of writers, designers, and digital professionals. You will also represent the agency in client meetings, pitch concepts, and maintain a rigorous quality‑control process for all deliverables. • Translate client business strategies into effective, research‑driven creative solutions. • Lead, mentor, and grow high‑performing creative teams, including directors and associate directors. • Define and track quantifiable creative performance metrics aligned with client goals. • Oversee production of sustainability reports, white papers, digital ads, websites, and other marketing assets. • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, on‑time, on‑budget, and meet ESG credibility standards. • Drive business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and maintaining portfolio quality. • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners. • Integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) principles into leadership culture.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a creative powerhouse and business problem‑solver who can zoom out to see the full client picture and zoom in to ensure execution excellence. A deep commitment to a sustainable future is essential, and while sustainability subject‑matter expertise is a plus, a strong track record in advertising, marketing, or communications (5+ years) and a relevant degree are required. • Required: degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or related field; 5+ years marketing/advertising experience. • Ability to interpret complex business strategies and manage multiple work streams. • Strong presentation skills and capability to sell bold, innovative ideas. • Preferred: agency experience, especially within a smaller agency, and sustainability subject‑matter expertise.
