About the Role
The Sr. Capture Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth and securing enterprise‑level pursuits within the Water Global Business line. Reporting to the Strategy and Growth lead, the role leads consultative sales processes, develops winning strategies, and ensures operational excellence throughout the pursuit lifecycle. The position offers flexible remote/virtual work options with required travel. In this role you will lead the end‑to‑end capture effort, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to create competitive, client‑focused solutions while maintaining rigor in go/no‑go decisions and compliance with contractual requirements. You will also partner with marketing, technical, and bidding staff to align initiatives with client priorities such as sustainability and resilience, and you will be accountable for capture metrics and pipeline health. • Win major pursuits as the consultative sales process leader, creating competition‑beating win strategies. • Analyze competitive landscapes and leverage insights from recent wins and losses to refine strategies. • Promote a collaborative approach by leveraging multidisciplinary teams across regions and globally. • Ensure partnership between technical, marketing, and bidding staff for proposal best practices. • Champion the complete lifecycle of the sales process with quality assurance and Go/No‑Go rigor. • Coordinate with marketing to execute strategic campaigns aligned with key opportunities. • Ensure compliance with commercial, financial, legal, and governance elements of contracts. • Drive accountability for delivering sales metrics and achieving high capture rates. • Align AECOM’s initiatives with client priorities, focusing on sustainability, resilience, and cutting‑edge solutions. • Help build and maintain a diversified pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with business strategy. • Build trust with client decision‑makers and internal stakeholders, including CAMs, Marketing, Bidding, RBLLs, and the Executive Board. • Partnering with Technical, Bidding and Marketing Staff – guides dynamic, compliant, persuasive content. • Client Relationships – collaborates with Client Account Managers and business line representatives. • Innovation – integrates client innovation agendas with AECOM’s solutions. • Delivery focus – sets schedules, milestones, reviews, and manages budgets for bids. • Development of people/mentoring – coaches team members and builds capture management skills.
