About the Role

The engineer will serve as the subject‑matter expert for custom air handling units, providing commercial, competitive, and technical application support to the field sales organization with minimal direction. Responsibilities include delivering application training, project management, and participating in customer factory tours. The role also involves testing selection and pricing software for air handling units. Collaboration is a key component, requiring coordination with field sales, manufacturing, engineering, and customer service to resolve order issues and develop cost‑effective solutions for unique applications. The engineer will assist the Airside Technical Service team, create technical documents, and work with marketing to define software requirements. Complex problem‑solving, feasibility studies, and systems analysis will be performed to improve product design and value engineering. Additionally, the engineer will provide technical direction to other engineers, drafters, or technicians and manage documentation releases for custom products. • Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support for custom air handling units • Deliver application training and project management for field sales teams • Participate in customer factory tours and support field sales visits • Test and refine air handling unit selection and pricing software • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and customer service to resolve order issues • Develop cost‑effective solutions and technical documents for unique AHU applications • Assist Airside Technical Service with field application issues • Work with marketing to define selection and pricing software requirements • Conduct feasibility studies, systems analysis, and value‑engineering for new applications • Review engineering rules, recommend cost‑saving alternatives, and apply complex problem‑solving techniques • Provide technical direction to engineers, drafters, and technicians on assignments • Prepare, check, and coordinate release of documentation for custom products
