About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager in Canberra to lead the Telstra‑delivered Terrestrial Communications work package on a Defence project. The role involves overseeing sub‑project activities, vendor delivery and stakeholder reporting within a complex national security environment. • Plan and coordinate sub‑project activities and resource requirements. • Develop, socialize, and obtain approval for project artefacts according to Departmental policies. • Oversee vendor delivery. • Report regularly on sub‑project successes and progress. • Brief governance and stakeholder forums as required.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a current Negative Vetting 1 security clearance (and may need ITAR compliance), possess strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities, and demonstrate a proactive, high‑quality work ethic. • Demonstrated project management experience in the defence industry. • Experience managing vendor delivery. • Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile delivery methods. • Relevant tertiary IT qualifications or equivalent experience. • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills for strategic solutions. • Current Negative Vetting 1 security clearance (and possible ITAR compliance). • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
