About the Role
The Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supports the Equipment North America organization on startup, warranty, and service coordination. Reporting initially to the Regional Service Manager and later to the Branch Service Manager, the EqCM serves as the single point of contact for equipment contract service scope and interfaces directly with EqNA customers. • Support EqNA sales during project estimate by specifying service type (S/R or Service Mechanical) based on project size, duration, complexity, and management needs. • Provide custom quotes for service items outside the PCAT policy. • Verify branch technicians are trained for identified equipment and coordinate training with TBSM and BSM when contracts are secured. • Attend RTO meetings for complex or PSA‑included projects and identify service/warranty scope concerns. • Validate PSA details with SAE/Agent Project Owner and supply required documentation. • Conduct weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and BOM to coordinate and monitor current and future service scopes, providing feedback to the EqNA Operations Team. • Work with customers to introduce Connected Service capabilities. • Coordinate directly with EqNA customers for all scheduled work and schedule changes. • Collaborate with CRC and SAE to ensure asset records are created in NxGen and assigned to the correct site for future SRs/quotes. • Work with CRC and technicians on FOB Destination deliveries and communicate updates to SAE and customers as needed. • Verify warranty information in Warranty Navigator; address discrepancies with SAE and the Warranty Admin team. • Monitor Long‑Term Storage (LTS) requirements and coordinate with SAE and the customer. • Promote the use of Pronto Forms by customers for pre‑startup checklists and by technicians for startup, inspections, and warranty work. • Ensure startup is completed, resolve any issues, and provide customers with startup documentation. • Enter startup dates for assets in NxGen and register serviced equipment in Warranty Navigator; provide warranty certification to the EqNA customer. • Work with CRCs to ensure all service requests are invoiced promptly upon scope completion. • Act as the first point of contact for warranty requests, coordinating with CRC and WSC to dispatch technicians and file claims. • Escalate and resolve issues that prevent warranty work completion, including parts and resource availability, and collaborate with product technical support to accelerate cash collections. • Facilitate technical support for EqNA customers as needed.

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with at least ten years of industry experience or a technical engineering/construction degree, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows environments, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ideal applicants demonstrate independent and team‑oriented work styles, solid interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities, and the capacity to manage numerous projects with precision and attention to detail. • 10+ years of industry experience or a technical engineering/construction degree. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating systems. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and conflict‑resolution abilities. • Capability to represent Johnson Controls positively and communicate at varying technical levels. • Demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism and persistence. • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Preferred: BA degree in Engineering or Construction. • Preferred: HVAC equipment knowledge. • Preferred: Advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
