About the Role

The Automation Operator role at the Decatur, AL location involves operating and maintaining robotic plasma and weld cells, using cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment, and supporting production activities while adhering to safety policies and keeping the work area organized. • Load, operate, and maintain robotic plasma and weld cells • Operate crane, forklift, and other heavy equipment • Operate robotic cells according to production schedules and standard operating procedures • Load raw materials and components into fixtures or machines • Monitor plasma and weld quality and perform basic visual and dimensional inspections • Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure proper operation • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area • Document production data and report issues to supervisors or maintenance • Assist with changeovers, setups, and basic preventative maintenance

What You Bring

Candidates must demonstrate safety leadership, have experience reading drawings and weld standards, at least six months of welding experience, one year of robotic welding experience, and willingness to work flexible shifts; preferred qualifications include manufacturing, forklift, overhead crane, MIG flux core welding, and ABB robotics experience. • Experience reading drawings, prints, and weld standards • 6 months of welding experience • 1 year of robotic welding experience • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends, if required • Manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane experience (preferred) • MIG flux core welding experience (preferred) • ABB robotics experience (preferred)
