About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned properties. The role involves assisting with a wide range of systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and grounds equipment. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment, and HVAC • Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment as assigned • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company policies related to building operations and practice safe work habits • Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems • Complete all required C&W safety training annually • Comply with C&W uniform dress code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance on the property outside of working hours

What You Bring

Work is performed in a dynamic, field‑based capacity with regular travel between multiple indoor and outdoor sites. The technician must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and terrain, handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and standing for extended periods, and may be required to work shifts, overtime, or on‑call duties. Candidates need at least two years of experience in a commercial property setting, a high school diploma or GED, and technical or vocational training in areas such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. A valid driver’s license with a clean record, basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word, and the ability to use smartphones, tablets, and building‑automation systems are also required. Key competencies include technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multitasking, and a sense of urgency.
