About the Role

In this role you will manage a group of six or more field engineers, develop regional skillsets, coach engineers in creating technical documentation and customer success stories, and act as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. You will also oversee resource allocation, billing targets, quote creation, and ensure high-quality execution of MDS services across the Gulf region. • Manage and direct a regional team of 6+ field engineers. • Develop regional skillsets and competencies with support from service managers. • Coach engineers in producing technical papers, case studies, and customer success stories. • Provide voice‑of‑the‑customer feedback to the MDS Service Manager. • Lead portions of monthly MDS team calls for the Gulf region. • Drive MDS growth and assist with regional growth strategies and offerings. • Allocate certified MDS engineer resources to meet billability targets. • Support creation of reactive MDS customer quotes. • Serve as single point of contact for customers and Baker Hughes stakeholders. • Ensure quality of MDS service execution, including compliance reporting. • Provide technical support to engineers during job execution. • Track field report submissions and monitor customer satisfaction. • Verify engineers have calibrated tools required for jobs. • Deliver on‑the‑job training, coaching, and mentoring for certification. • Identify training needs for internal and external certifications.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) and at least ten years of field engineering experience in machinery diagnostics, vibration analysis, and dynamics, with solid knowledge of API and ISO standards. Candidates must demonstrate leadership, strong customer service, excellent communication in English, and hold a valid driver’s licence, passport and eligibility for a TWIC. Desired qualifications include a graduate engineering degree, expertise in reliability services, and familiarity with ADRE Software or System1 EVO. The position offers flexible working hours, allowing you to adjust your schedule for maximum productivity. • Present at bimonthly MDS operations calls covering HSE, billable time, and training. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical a plus). • 10+ years field engineering experience in machinery diagnostics, vibration analysis, and dynamics. • Working knowledge of API standards, API 670, and ISO standards. • ISO certification for vibration analysis. • Rotating machinery experience in power generation, oil & gas, chemical, pulp & paper, mining, etc. • Understanding of machinery design and ability to resolve rotating machinery issues. • Demonstrated leadership abilities. • Strong customer service mindset. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and passport. • Eligibility to obtain a TWIC credential. • Ability to read and follow schematics, assembly drawings, and procedures. • Self‑starter with minimal supervision; strong prioritization and deadline management. • Availability to travel on short notice and achieve 20% billable time. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Desired: graduate engineering degree. • Desired: theoretical and practical knowledge of reliability services. • Desired: experience with ADRE Software and System1 EVO.
