About the Role

In this position you will guide teams in developing design packages, defining scope, establishing schedules, setting milestones, and determining resource needs. Strong knowledge of power sector and electrical design is essential. You will coordinate daily project activities with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to keep work on schedule and aligned with objectives. Monitoring progress through key performance indicators, identifying risks or delays, and reporting findings to senior staff are core responsibilities. Support for project budgets includes tracking expenses, reviewing cost estimates, and ensuring expenditures match approved budgets. You will also prepare and maintain documentation such as progress reports, meeting minutes, risk assessments, change orders, and closeout reports. • Lead multidisciplinary design teams, define scope, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements. • Coordinate daily activities with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors. • Monitor project performance using KPIs, identify risks or delays, and report to senior management. • Assist in budget tracking, cost estimate review, and ensure expenditures align with approved budgets. • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, minutes, risk assessments, change orders, and closeouts. • Uphold ethical standards and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.

What You Bring

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its Boise, ID office to lead engineering and design projects for U.S. government and military clients. The role involves overseeing large and mid‑sized, multidisciplinary projects for Department of Defense branches such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missile Defense Agency, and Navy Facilities Command. The role requires adherence to ethical decision‑making, WSP’s Code of Conduct, and related policies, as well as the flexibility to perform additional duties as business needs arise. Candidates should have 10+ years of relevant post‑education experience in architecture, engineering, or construction project management, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and PE or PMP certification. Experience managing federal design projects for MDA, USACE, or NAVFAC for 3‑5 years, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to work on‑site in a WSP office are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and typical design/engineering software, strong organizational and time‑management skills, and a proven safety record are also required. Relocation assistance is not available.
