About the Role

The Manager, Revenue Accounting oversees revenue recognition for the BASX business unit, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 while providing timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting. The role partners with senior leadership and the accounting department to produce relevant accounting information. In the project revenues function, the manager leads a team that tracks revenue from production, inventory, and long‑term contracts, establishes clear goals and processes, and provides training, coaching, and conflict resolution to build team cohesion. They analyze financial data, collaborate with sales, legal, production, and tax advisors, manage close activities for revenue, contract assets and liabilities, and develop and enforce revenue accounting policies. As manager of technical accounting, the individual researches and implements new accounting standards, documents policies in accordance with GAAP, and works with both accounting and cross‑functional teams to assess the financial impact of new processes. They ensure proper SEC disclosures, maintain strong internal controls, and prepare executive summaries of emerging pronouncements. The role operates in a climate‑controlled office environment with occasional travel to operating sites (less than two weeks per year) and occasional physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 lb and site visits. The employee must maintain focus for prolonged periods of computer work and adhere to the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety. • Lead accounting team managing revenue for production, inventory, and long‑term contracts. • Define roles, goals, and processes; provide training and coaching to staff. • Resolve team conflicts early and foster cohesiveness. • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. • Analyze financial data and deliver insights to senior management. • Collaborate with sales, legal, production, and tax advisors on revenue matters. • Oversee financial close activities for revenue, contract assets, and liabilities. • Develop, implement, and maintain revenue accounting policies and procedures. • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting requirements. • Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards. • Document accounting policies and positions in line with GAAP. • Coordinate with non‑accounting functions to assess financial impacts of new processes. • Ensure accurate SEC disclosures and required filings. • Maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting processes. • Prepare executive summaries of new accounting pronouncements for leadership. • Provide backup support for periodic accounting functions and quarterly inventory counts. • Assist audit teams with preparation of PBC lists and requests. • Communicate financial information effectively to upper management.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration, with a CPA or equivalent preferred, and at least ten years of revenue‑accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Candidates must possess deep knowledge of revenue recognition principles, ASC 606 and ASC 842, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, D365, and advanced Excel.
