About the Role
The primary purpose of the OPS Instructor position is to apply expert knowledge to design, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify plant‑specific, nuclear‑licensed operations training programs. The role supports the Clean Energy Center and the broader fleet through business initiatives, project management, outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards. • Drive CEC and personnel performance improvement by delivering performance‑based Reactor Operator (RO) and Non‑Licensed Operator (NLO) training aligned with Constellation’s systematic training model. • Coordinate and conduct training programs, ensuring they incorporate INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Bulletins, CEC design changes, procedure revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness data. • Prepare trainee examinations, evaluate performance in classroom, lab, OJT, and simulator settings, conduct counseling sessions, and develop individualized training plans. • Support business initiatives, project management, refuel outage activities, emergency preparedness, and special projects across the CEC and fleet. • Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits and formulate responses to audit findings. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of plant operations and disciplinary techniques to deliver high‑quality training. • Supervise collection, maintenance, and reporting of auditable training records. • Perform additional assignments such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage support as directed.

What You Bring
• OPS Instructor qualifications: high school diploma/GED with 6 years related experience, or associate degree with 4 years experience, or bachelor’s degree in engineering/science with 2 years relevant experience; meet ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 (4.5.4) standards and required access/medical criteria. • Senior OPS Instructor qualifications: 6 years related equipment/operator experience, or associate degree with 4 years nuclear technical background, or current/licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification with 4 years experience, or bachelor’s degree with 3 years nuclear technical background and 4 years related experience, or current/previous SRO license; meet ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 (4.4.3) standards and required access/medical criteria. • Preferred qualifications: experience in commercial nuclear training and knowledge of the systematic approach to training (SAT).
