About the Role

The NPI Fitter will work on prototype machines, handling a wide range of activities from setup through to re‑work and preparation for sale. The position involves close collaboration with Test, Development and Design Engineers to ensure prototypes meet required standards. Key responsibilities include setting up machines, completing test‑plan items, carrying out initial mechanical and hydraulic testing, and performing machine clean‑down for re‑work. The role also requires stripping, rebuilding and upgrading mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components, as well as replacing worn parts and wear liners. • Set up prototype machines and complete test‑plan items. • Perform initial mechanical and hydraulic testing and machine clean‑down for re‑work. • Strip, rebuild, and upgrade mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. • Collaborate with Test, Development, and Design Engineers to refine prototypes and report issues. • Replace or repair worn parts and wear liners to maintain machine operability. • Ensure compliance with site rules, company policies, and health and safety regulations. • Fit hydraulic systems and execute mechanical fitting tasks.
