Senior Manager Digital Development

About the Role

The Senior Manager provides strategic direction for all relevant technology initiatives and balances competing priorities to meet multiple project objectives and end‑user requirements. They develop and maintain strong partnerships with key business stakeholders, oversee the evolution of digital content management, and stay current on software development techniques to recommend improvements. Responsibility includes overseeing every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle, planning and managing budgets, forecasts, projects, and staffing, as well as ensuring service delivery meets agreed‑upon service levels. The role also involves diagnosing service delivery problems, fostering strong vendor relationships, and leading hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, training, motivation, counseling, and discipline of employees. Additional duties include supporting major development projects and providing input on system reliability, staffing needs, and total cost of ownership to keep the technology portfolio aligned with dynamic customer and business needs.

What You Bring

Candidates must have experience maintaining budgets for systems, vendors, and departments, as well as expertise in ecommerce platform development, analytics, SEO, and content management systems. Experience developing SharePoint, customer service applications, and mobile applications is required, along with a track record of leading highly complex projects using accepted project‑management principles. Minimum qualifications include five years of information‑systems management experience and seven years managing large, high‑volume, mission‑critical systems and support teams through the full technology lifecycle.
