About the Role

The MES Maintenance Engineer role is based in Bengaluru and reports to the Area Facilities Manager. As the go‑to technical expert, you will ensure seamless operation of critical environments, monitor utility costs, and oversee contractor maintenance practices. You will collaborate closely with the building manager and internal teams to keep the facility running efficiently. In this position you will manage preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems, while maintaining compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. You will handle vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, process purchase requisitions, and develop maintenance budgets with accurate forecasting and cost control. Reporting duties include daily activity summaries, monthly management reports, and incident documentation to support continuous improvement. • Perform preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems • Oversee critical environments, ensuring system integrity and adherence to manufacturer recommendations • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and process purchase requisitions and orders • Prepare and submit Bills of Quantities, cost summaries, and monthly management reports • Develop and control maintenance budgets, forecast expenses, and monitor invoices • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to execute maintenance projects on schedule • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct audits, and implement CAPA for incidents • Monitor daily electrical activity and in‑house technician performance, maintaining quality of preventive maintenance • Lead annual maintenance contract renewals and oversee contractor scope of work • Train support staff, promote energy‑saving initiatives, and maintain accurate maintenance records

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field and brings at least five years of facilities maintenance experience in critical environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems is essential, along with proven vendor management, budgeting, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to travel between cities are also required. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering • Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance experience in critical environments • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems • Proven vendor management, contract negotiation, and budgeting skills • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication abilities • Ability to work independently, handle multiple clients, and travel to other cities
