About the Role

The technician will conduct regular floor maintenance, operate a variety of floor‑care equipment, and apply appropriate cleaning agents and finishes. In addition, they will inspect floors for wear, keep equipment areas organized, and support other janitorial duties as needed. Effective communication and accurate record‑keeping are essential to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. • Perform routine floor cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming). • Operate buffers, burnishers, auto‑scrubbers and extractors. • Strip, wax and refinish hard‑surface floors on schedule. • Apply suitable cleaning agents and finishes per floor type. • Inspect floors for damage, report issues to supervisor. • Keep equipment and supply areas clean and organized. • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE. • Assist with additional janitorial tasks (restrooms, trash, upkeep). • Record work performed and materials used accurately.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $12.75 to $15.00 per hour, with pay reflecting location, experience, and collective bargaining status, and will not fall below minimum wage.
