About the Role

Are you passionate about safety and ready to make an impact where it matters most? As a Construction Safety Manager at Cummings Electrical, you will champion a Safety First culture across large‑scale commercial and industrial projects throughout the DFW area. Working directly with project teams, you will ensure compliance, promote best practices, and help keep both people and operations safe. You will lead the execution of the Site Safety and Security Plan, overseeing Subcontractor Safety Coordinators and managing sub‑tier safety activities, case management, and care processes. Your role includes supervising electrical, instrumentation, and control work to maintain rigorous safety standards, while collaborating with project teams to nurture an Incident and Injury Free Culture. Direct reporting to the Health and Safety Director, you will also design training programs and coordinate high‑risk activity planning. • Execute overall Site Safety and Security Plan (SSSP) and manage Subcontractor Safety Coordinators. • Oversee electrical, instrumentation, and controls activities for safety compliance. • Prioritize safety on all job sites at all times. • Collaborate with project teams to foster an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC). • Report directly to the Health and Safety Director. • Develop and deliver training, safety administration, work coordination, and high‑risk activity planning.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health and brings 12–15 years of construction safety experience, or is a Certified Safety Professional recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Required credentials include OSHA 510 and a CHST certification, along with at least two years of hands‑on construction experience. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is essential, and additional training such as NFPA 70E, LOTO, first aid, and mental health first aid is considered a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health. • 12–15 years of construction safety experience or Certified Safety Professional credential. • Minimum two years of relevant construction experience. • OSHA 510 certification. • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification. • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. • NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout (LOTO) knowledge (nice to have). • First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR/AED, Emergency Procedures, and Mental Health First Aid training (nice to have).
