About the Role
Joining the Power Team means working on cutting‑edge projects that shape the future of energy infrastructure, delivering solutions for power transmission, distribution, and renewable energy while enhancing system reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. • Support project managers and functional team leaders in managing company and client documents throughout all project phases. • Compile, retrieve, and submit required documentation per client standards using systems such as ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud. • Distribute documentation promptly, maintain version control, approvals, and archiving, and prepare electronic and hard‑copy project folders. • Assist in project audits, progress meetings, and track RFIs, submission deadlines, drawing requests, and schedule updates. • Communicate document status and submittal timing under direction of senior document control specialists or project managers.

What You Bring
GFT is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our Power Team in one of several office locations, including Charlotte, NC; Pittsburgh, PA; Marlton, NJ; Chicago, IL; and St. Louis, MO. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at the chosen office. • Require a high school diploma and at least 3 years of document control or administrative support experience on engineering, utilities, or construction projects. • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and plan work effectively. • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and familiar with document platforms such as ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud. • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently across multiple offices and flexible hours. • Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher, experience supporting engineering or power‑sector project teams, and basic understanding of engineering drawings and workflows.
